Buchans Update

Recent soil testing conducted in Buchans by Conestoga Rovers and Associates (CRA) has identified elevated levels of heavy metals in some of the samples which exceed human health guidelines. A total of 12 samples were taken around the perimeter of the town, as well as 12 background samples taken outside the town. The results indicate that, of the heavy metals found, lead, arsenic, uranium, and antimony exceeded human health guidelines, with the lead values being of primary concern.  Further testing and analysis will be carried out.
