This division is responsible for the development of regulations under the Sustainable Development Act, the creation of a Management Plan, and the implementation of a Sustainable Development Indicators Strategy.
The Act provides the framework which enshrines sustainable development in provincial law, and policy provides the mechanisms which will ensure the implementation of sustainable development across Newfoundland and Labrador.
Clients include: federal and provincial departments; stakeholders; organizations; academics; community and industry.
