Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
- Project Description: The proponent proposes the development of sporting facilities in La Scie, including an oceanside 18 hole golf course and driving range (including club house/chalet, maintenance road and building, snack hut and parking area), an indoor swimming pool and a cross country ski trail. The proposed site is within the municipal boundaries of the Town of La Scie to the north and north-east of the La Scie Stadium, extending to the coastline. The total construction period is expected to span 3 to 5 years commencing in April 2005.
- January 27, 2005 - The undertaking was registered.
- March 8, 2005 - Public comments are due.
- May 26, 2005 - The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
- March 7, 2006 - The Minister approves the Environmental Protection Plan.
