Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

• Project Description:
  The proponent plans to construct a 2.5 kilometre All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trail at Garnish Pond on the Burin Peninsula. The proposed trail will connect the existing trail at the southeast end of Garnish Pond with the trail on the southwest end of the pond. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in late June, 2005.
• April 29, 2005 - The undertaking was registered.
• June 10, 2005 - Public comments are due.
• June 13, 2005 - The Minister's decision is due.
• June 30, 2005 - The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
