Crown Lands Administration Locations

The Head Office of the Crown Lands Administration Division is
located at the Howley Building,
Higgins Line, St. John’s. In addition to providing support and
guidance to the Regional Lands Offices,
the Office provides a variety of other land administration
functions. For a more detailed description of
services provided, please click on the section headings listed
below.
The Regional Lands Offices (Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Corner
Brook, Gander, Clarenville, and St.
John's) are responsible for accepting and processing Crown land
applications. Applications are
screened by the Regional Lands Office for land tenure and land
use restrictions and are referred to
Federal, Provincial, and Municipal agencies for comment
pertaining to land use and regulatory
issues. Requests are then evaluated to determine if the
allocation is in the public interest. The
regional offices are also responsible for the enforcement of
legislation pertaining to the unauthorized
use and occupation of Crown land.
