• The Surveys and Mapping have been cost sharing the production of large scale topographic mapping for the last 5 years with Municipalities, utilities and other Government departments.
• Some examples of Municipalities that have cost shared are: Stephenville, Corner Brook, Springdale, Gander, Twillingate, Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Grand Falls - Windsor, and Placentia.
• NewTel Communications have cost shared extensively in 1:2500 scale mapping to support the GIS on their "out-side plant".
• The Surveys and Mapping Division has a long history of cost sharing with the Highway Design Division of WST.
• Typical cost sharing arrangements will have two or more partners at equal shares.
