Mapping the Provincial Road Network - Surveys and Mapping - Lands


Introduction

The Surveys and Maping Division(SMD) is cost sharing the annual up-dating of the provinvial road network. This network mapping includes road center-line data (in digital vector format) and attribute data on each segment of road.

A web mapping application has been developed to highlight road segments that do not have names. Since SMD relies on many sources to validate data, this web tool allows anyone with a web browser to see any part of the road network with a highlight color on the sections of roads that do not have name data.
