About the GreenFund

The $25 million Newfoundland and Labrador Green Fund was designed to support projects that provide real net reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

It is a combination of federal and provincial funds ($23 million federal and $2 million provincial).

To date we have approved in excess of $21 million in projects and have several applications in various stages of assessment. We estimate that the total GHG reduction for the $25M fund could be as much as 200,000 tonnes/year.

The Fund is open to businesses, institutions, environmental groups, or individuals seeking to develop applicable innovative projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.
